调查显示，从2020年1月至2026年4月期间，这4名儿童长期缺乏足够食物、卫生设施、教育及医疗照护。受害儿童获救后被发现身上留有未经治疗的严重烧伤疤痕，其中一名儿童更被诊断出罹患性病。两名受害女童也向调查人员指证斯图尔特多年来对其性虐待；受害男童则因试图阻止斯图尔特并向埃普斯举报，反遭暴力殴打。
