美国总统特朗普（Donald Trump，又译川普）9月11日在五角大楼出席911事件25周年纪念仪式时，因曾“闭目养神”，遭质疑在仪式上打瞌睡，白宫12日否认称，特朗普当时是神情肃穆地缅怀死者。

在仪式上，由于特朗普曾数次闭目养神及低下头，遭网民质疑他睡着。

白宫12日指，特朗普当时神情肃穆地聆听着，缅怀在911当天不幸丧生的遇难者以及英勇的急救人员。

发言人说“任何荒谬地声称总统当时在睡觉的说法，都是在撒谎。”

在仪式上的致辞中，特朗普试图把目前的伊朗战争与911事件及小布什（George W. Bush）政府其后发动的“反恐战争”连结起来，并表示：“这是我们（美国）今天战斗的原因”。美媒指，这与他以往长期批评小布什发动战争的立场有所不同。
